A group of 11 friends in Liberty North Carolina came close to winning the historic Powerball jackpot on Saturday.
A customer at Hurricane Jane’s, a bar north of Siler City, suggested that the 11 friends pool their money together and buy $100.00 worth of tickets.
The group brought 50 $2.00 ticket and they missed a potential $950 million payout by just one ball by a single digit.
