Meet January 2025’s Pastor Of The Month!

Every month, Melissa Wade and The Light 103.9 honor a local faith leader for their work on the pulpit and in their community with the Pastor of The Month presentation, sponsored by Trice Funeral Home, LLC! For January, we’re honoring Pastor, Rev Dr. H.C. Miller of Tupper Memorial Baptist Church.
Rev. Miller was nominated by Darnette B. of Raleigh. Here is what she had to say:
We, the congregants of Tupper Memorial Baptist Church would like to nominate our Pastor, Rev. Dr. H.C. Miller, for the Light 103.9 Pastor of the month. Dr. Miller will celebrate 30 years of Pastor and people in February. He is a man of God and preaches and teaches the Word of God both near and far. He stood strong and faithful throughout the COVID pandemic and beyond. He has served in several capacities. To list a few:
- National Chairman of Evangelism for American Baptist Churches State Chairman of Evangelism
- General Baptist State Convention of N.C., Inc.
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, State of North Carolina
- General and Executive Board Member, General Baptist State Convention, Inc.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards. To mention a few:
• Outstanding Young Man of America
• Key to the city of Hamlet, N.C.
• Truman Academic Award
Dr. Miller is a contributing author to several theological publications. He has also preached in rural areas as well as Australia and Canada. Although he has many titles, he is a humble man of God that loves his family, church family and the community at large. Because of this and the man that he is, we feel that he should be named as February Pastor of the month. We love him and know that if you were to meet him, you too would love him as much as we do.
