Source: Durham Parks and Recreation / DPR
Durham, NC – Due to the inclement weather forecasted for the evening of Friday, January 10, and the morning of Saturday, January 11, Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the American Red Cross have decided to cancel the Blood Drive and the MLK: Remembering the Legacy Through the Arts events scheduled to take place on January 11 at the W.D. Hill Recreation Center out of an abundance of caution for the safety of participants. The American Red Cross will be contacting anyone who has registered to donate blood to inform them of the cancelation. DPR will also be making special efforts and creating additional activities throughout the rest of January and into February to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King.
