Durham Public Schools On A Modified School Bus Schedule

DPS are in dire need of school bus drivers. Parents have been alerted that because of the lack of bus drivers, school bus routes would run just four days a week, therefore parents will need to find transportation for their child on the fifth day. This schedule will continue until Christmas break.
The district has divided buses into five groups, with each group having no bus service:
- Group A: No bus service Monday
- Group B: No bus service Tuesday
- Group C: No bus service Wednesday
- Group D: No bus service Thursday
- Group E: No bus service Friday
DPS has a goal of hiring 60 more drivers as soon as possible, and a long-term plan for 100 additional drivers.
