Rudy Currence is now a member of the Tribl Records family. He announced his partnership with the label over the weekend.

Tribl Records is regarded as the premiere home for Christian and Gospel music. The label has multiple Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Stellar Awards and Dove Awards, plus a Grammy Award win under its belt. It was founded in 2020 by Tony Brown, Jonathan Jay, Norman Gyamfi and Stephanie Valcarcel. Currence joins an illustrious roster that includes artists Chandler Moore, Maverick City Music and JJ Hairston.

The son of a pastor, Currence is a celebrated Grammy and Dove Award-winning producer and #1 Billboard Gospel recording artist. His writing and producing credits include songs for Lecrae, Quincy Jones, Mya, Ray J and David Banner. He’s also been featured on projects with Byron Cage, Donald Lawrence, Jill Scott and more.

“I’m just an everyday PK [pastor’s kid] but I believe my music will inspire, encourage, and heal millions around the world,” he told Rolling Out in a 2024 interview.

Right now, he’s reading his newest single “God Don’t Cancel Me.” Currence released his last single “Nobody Can Take It” in July which featured an accompanying dance challenge.

He last hit #1 on the Billboard charts in early 2021 for his single “I Belong Here.” It spent two weeks at #1 on the Gospel Airplay Charts for two consecutive weeks and captured the #1 Billboard Gospel Songwriter spot. He followed up that same year with his Chrisette Michele collaboration, “No Greater Love.” The song peaked at the #1 position on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. It was Currence’s second #1 Billboard hit.

Currence released his last album “Stained Glass Windows” in 2023. With a bevy of new singles under his belt coupled with a new label home, his next album may not be far behind.
