Jennifer Hudson Wants to Add Stellar Award to Her List of Honors

Singer, actress and daytime talk show host Jennifer Hudson is ushering in year 43 today with a look at what she wants to achieve next. This week, she sat down with GlobalGrind.com to discuss some of her priorities which not only include season 3 of her Emmy-nominated talk show and a Stellar Award, but her man, her man, her man—rapper Common.
“Speaking of ‘my man, my man, my man,’ don’t you think our song “There Is A God” could be nominated? It’s a gospel song,” Hudson said about her Stellar Award ambitions.
Hudson, who also wants another EGOT, is the youngest woman to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.
Hudson and Common seemingly confirmed their relationship in January 2024 when the rapper and actor appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Now, she’s excited to include him in her birthday plans.
“I want to be with the children, my cats, my man, my man, my man!” Hudson told GlobalGrind.com. “Just be with my family and have a nice old domestic birthday. And I wanna ride horses. Yep that is what I want to do.”
This season, Hudson is also choosing joy. Season three of her talk show premieres on September 16. The theme is “Choose Joy.” Hudson intends on welcoming all kinds of guess including celebrities, viral sensations and everyday heroes who actively choose joy in their daily lives.
“I just want to be with family,” Hudson said. “The show, the audience, the guests here feels like home, it is home to me and that’s how I feel about everyone here, it’s like my family and so I can’t wait to get back in the house of the happy place, spread, and choose joy this season and create more and more memories here at the Jennifer Hudson Show.”
Last season Hudson earned two GLAAD Media Awards and an NAACP award for Outstanding Talk Show Series. She said this season audiences can expect candid conversations, memorable performances and uplifting stories.
